Knitting Inspiration - my fucking freezing kitchen floor. From reading other blogs I get the sense that it’s unusually cold pretty much everywhere in the northern hemisphere right now, and I can’t possibly be the only one whose feet go numb the second I convince myself to step out of bed.
Slippers are definitely the answer to the voice in the back of my head that told me I should probably put boots on before approaching the kitchen floor this morning. Some of the more sock-like ones could even be worn inside boots, I think, to avoid the hassle of having cold feet during the changeover to out-of-the-house footwear.
Also, in keeping with the imminent gift-giving theme, all of these are knit using worsted or bulky yarn, so they work up really quickly.
Sources are, as always, in the captions and below.
Ever wondered why knitters keep knitting?
This happens to me ALL THE TIME. Currently knitting Marimekko-socks from scraps from my socks, which I knitted from scraps from the mittens I made for a friend… Endless circle!
