Heyyyy I’m having a little giveaway plus a contest! And you can totally win both if you get real lucky. And I mean REAL LUCKY.
But let’s talk about the giveaway first.
You can win this shiz:

Yeahhh that’s a lot. 12 items! But instead of just giving this all to one person, I will have 3 winners! The first winner can choose the 5 things they want, then the 2nd winner can choose 4 of the 7 items left, and the 3rd winner gets the last 3 things!
These items are all prototypes for my patterns, which means they weren’t created with the intent to sell, but to figure out HOW TO MAKE the thing I was trying to create. So some of them might have some flaws, maybe some joins that aren’t perfect, maybe some stuff that’s a little crooked or messy. Items I make to sell are always as perfect as possible though, so don’t get the wrong idea. ;) But these are all great, and it’s free!
1-3 are cute little amigurumi (plushies)
4 & 5 are little clutches
6 & 7 are chunky cowls that should fit anyone of “average” size
8 is a hilarious trinket box. just look at that face.
9 & 10 are credit card wallets
11 is a combo phone case & cc wallet. BUT it doesn’t fit iphone or samsung galaxy…it fits my phone! because it’s the prototype! haha. My phone is 4.5” x 2.5” and like half an inch thick. So keep that in mind.
12 is a cowl that will fit anyone with a 14” neck or smaller. kids would love this thing.
So how do you enter? Use the raffle copter widget below! The winners will be chosen on sunday, august 17th.
a Rafflecopter giveaway

Eligibility
Open to everyone 13 and older worldwide. Anyone under 18 needs to get their parents’ permission to give out their name and address!! Please make sure they are okay with this!!
I will not ship to these places: Brazil, Italy, anywhere in the Middle East, and Africa.
That’s it!
Now for the contest!!
This will be an amigurumi animal contest. Your task is to draw a cute animal design! It can be any animal, but it MUST be a real creature, or one that is mythical that everyone knows. For instance, a unicorn isn’t real, but everyone knows what it is, so that would be fine. A cool looking dragon-snail beast that you made up is sweet as hell, but not qualified for this contest.
They can wear clothing, have accessories…anything!
Keep in mind who your judge is…I like cutesy stuff!
I will decide based on my own personal preference who the top 10 are, and from that top 10 I will leave it up to an audience vote! I’ll post them on facebook AND make a poll here on tumblr and whoever gets highest combination of likes and votes will be the winner!
The winner will get their design turned into a crochet pattern and they will get the finished crochet plushie mailed to them! I will make the pattern available for free and credit the winner with the design however they like, whether it’s their name&website, nickname&tumblr, deviantart account etc.
Deadline
The last day to submit designs will be sunday, august 10th. You’ve got 3.5 weeks to come up with something good! Or maybe you’ve had a great idea for a while now? Send me a submission on tumblr or send me an email hellohappylisa at gmail

Wearable Wednesday

I don’t knit a lot of socks these days, and I sure haven’t knit any color work socks like these, but BOY! I am 100% rethinking that fact. Aren’t they beautiful? I love the starburst motif. It’s so classic. Go on. Run over and pick up a copy of Starry Starry Night Socks by Suzanne Bryan. I love these socks! :D

FREE Gratitude Flower Pattern http://www.craftsy.com/pattern/crocheting/other/free-gratitude-flower/77655?NAVIGATION_PAGE_CONTEXT_ATTR=PATTERN

someone come be lazy and crochet sunflowers with me!

Also: does anyone want this pattern, I just made it up super simple, but I’ve never written a pattern out before, but here it is:

I used a 5 mm hook and old yarn (brown and gold)

Row 1: (with brown) chain 4. w/ sl st for a circle.

Row 2: ch 3(counts as first dc) 11 dc into circle. 12 dc.

Row 3: ch 3(counts as first dc) dc into starting chain. 2 dc into each dc. 24 dc.

Fasten off, weave in tail

With Gold

single crochet into top of one of the double crochet. next stitch (using the back loop only) put one half double crochet, double crochet, chain, double crochet, then another half double crochet. (you’ve made one petal.)

next stitch single crochet.

then in the next stitch in the back loop only do the half double crochet, double crochet, chain, double crochet, half double crochet

Repeat this till you reach the beginning. In the end you should have 12 petals.

If this isn’t clear then please message me and perhaps I could do a step by step picture.

Okay happy crocheting guys!!
